Roswell Alien Amber

Faint, decent aroma - picked up maple syrup & lesser notes of caramel.

Opens with tart toasted/bready malts & nuttiness. Hop profile is mild to non-existent, slight tea flavor. It's a typical amber ale, perhaps a bit sweeter.

Mildly carbonated, thin mouthfeel. This would be a good session beer, fairly generic. Not bad.

(San Diego, CA) – Karl Strauss Brewing Company is proud to announce the return of its cult-classic, Peanut Butter Cup Porter.  The company first brewed Peanut Butter Cup Porter for San Diego Beer Week last year and fans went wild for it, with all 80 kegs running out in less than 5 days.  This year, the company more than doubled production to keep up with demand.  The company is experiencing 27% growth in the more mature San Diego off-premise market, and looks forward to eventually adding Peanut Butter Cup porter to its list of bottled offerings.

International Stout Day - November 2013

I like my beer like I like my men: tall, dark and handsome.  What is the darkest beer of them all?  Well hello, stout!

Originally, stout meant “proud” or “brave”, but morphed into the connotation of “strong” after the 14th century. So, why on earth should this handsome, brave and strong beer style not have its own day of celebration?

Happily, it does.
