Get ready for the premier Cask Festival in Southern California, Firkfest 3.0!

  • 30 Breweries
  • 50 Casks
  • 4 Hours
  • Unlimited Pours

Orange County's first cask beer festival, is set to take place on March 19, 2016. Be prepared for 30 plus breweries, serving over 50 casks. And in its third year, there continues to be a bigger demand for the tepid, lightly effervescent cask-conditioned ales, thanks to Gregory Nagel, founder of Firkfest.

These beers embrace the country's brewing past at the turn of the 20th century in America. If properly handles and fresh, cask ale is gently carbonated, rich, complex and damn near profound.

5 Fun Facts About Cask Ales:

1. Cask ale has a short shelf life and must be served within a few days. It is as fresh as beer can be.

2. It’s a living beer and is also called Real Beer. It’s character continues to develop in the cask.

3. It undergoes secondary fermentation inside the cask.

4. Cask Ale is rich and flavorful. And there are no preservatives or additives.

5. It’s unpasteurized, unfiltered, yeasty goodness.

On Saturday, you’ll find cask ales from the following breweries:

  • 32 North
  • Anaheim Brewery
  • Backstreet Brewery
  • Beachwood
  • Bootleggers Brewery
  • Bottle Logic Brewing
  • Coachella Valley Brewing
  • El Segundo
  • Firestone Walker Brewing
  • Hangar 24 Brewery
  • MacLeod Ale Brewing
