But the big thing that I'm personally happy about is their addition of approximately 200 rotating craft beers. I am so excited about this in fact, that I have decided to stay in Big Bear another year. Well, that and the fact that I found a 5 acre place to grow hops. But that's for another article.
Their latest investment includes a total redesign and rebuild of their draught beer system. The new system includes 12 handles, 10 of which are dedicated to local and regional craft brews as well as standout Belgian and German offerings. A heavy focus will of course be on California craft beers. The new Glycol Draft Beer Cooling unit in the back of the bar keeps the brews at a perfect constant 32 degrees, for at least 240 feet.
Owner, Mike Kostiuk, has managed to elevate one of Southern California's favorite dive bars to include a larger variety of beer for the craft beer drinker.
