Beginning this week, Stone Brewing Co. is offering Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale, the most popular Black IPA on Beer Advocate, in packs of four 12-ounce bottles. Previously, the deep-black-yet-amazingly-hoppy beer was only available in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. Stone Ruination IPA and OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale will also be offered in four-packs.
Maui Brewing Co. and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery have teamed up to brew an Imperial Golden Ale brewed with local breadfruit and toasted papaya seeds. Breadfruit comes from a flowering tree in the mulberry family and is considered a staple fruit in tropical regions. (Boulder, CO) – Expanding their one-and-done series of experimental barrel-aged beers, Avery Brewing Company sets the date to release Oud Floris, a sour brown ale blended from thirteen wine and liquor barrels. At a very limited release of 252 cases, the brew spent between 1-3 years maturing in 13 different barrels, and presents what the brewers describe as a “Flanders-esque” flavor profile, both sweet and sour with notes of fruitiness.
The corner of the historic Courthouse Plaza on Montezuma and Goodwin streets in downtown Prescott will be home to the 1st annual Mile High Brew Fest on June 16th. Savor beer samples from some of the Southwest's finest craft breweries. Enjoy performances by a variety of bands and live art demonstrations from local artists. Brewers from around the world received awards from an elite international panel of judges in the 2012 Brewers Association World Beer Cup. The ninth bi-annual competition boasted the strongest field of entrants on record, with 799 breweries from 54 countries and 45 U.S. states entering 3,921 beers in 95 beer style categories. A 17.7 percent increase over 2010, the entries were eligible for gold, silver and bronze awards in their respective categories. Judges presented a total of 284 awards.

Denver, CO – April 19, 2012 - Breckenridge Brewery of Colorado added four more 300-barrel fermenters last week, bringing it's total capacity to 75,000 barrels. This expansion follows the addition of two 300-barrel tanks and a 200-barrel Brite tank in January. With a new kegging line to come this summer, the brewery expects record growth this year as the craft beer industry continues to boom.
