(San Diego, CA - Nov 16, 2011) Today, Green Flash Brewing Co announced plans to break ground and expand within their San Diego-based brewery, just six months after beginning operations at the 45,000 sf Mira Mesa facility. The craft specialty brewer currently has the ability to produce 45,000 barrels per year and had anticipated this output would be sufficient to satisfy consumer demand until at least 2013.

The 1st International Stout Day ~ 2011

Glasses were raised in unison across the world on November 3rd, the first International #StoutDay. Together, about 1.3 million people across the U.S., England, Canada, Brazil and Ireland celebrated this historic and iconic beer style and toasted to the craft beer revolution.

CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (Nov 2011) - Beer aficionados, wine enthusiasts, home brewers and other taste-adventurers are about to get a hearty helping of Big Eddy brews from Leinenkugel’s. The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, which has only sparingly offered its Big Eddy beer in the past, today announced the return of its Russian Imperial Stout, the first in a series of Big Eddy brews in the works. In 2012, Big Eddy fans can look forward to three brand new robust brews in this craft series: a Double India Pale Ale, a Baltic Porter, and a Scotch Ale.

Well, the first International Stout Day was a huge success!

There were stout tastings, dinners, specials and even festivals all across the country, in Meridian, Idaho, San Diego, California, Kansas City, Missouri, Denver, Colorado  San Francisco, California and Manhattan, New York and in many other cities and towns across America.  Tyne And Wear in the UK and Asa Norte in Brazil even got in on the stout action by offering specials on specialty stouts in casks, kegs and bottles.  The store at Toronto's Amsterdam Brewery actually sold out of their Tempest Imperial Stout.
